Magar Samaj is dedicated to uniting the Magar community living in the United Kingdom and Nepal. The Magar people are one of the largest indigenous ethnic groups in Nepal, renowned for their resilience, honesty, and bravery. Their rich folklore and cultural traditions, including the popular jhyaure and dohori folk songs, are essential components of Nepal’s cultural identity.
Magar Samaj was founded to preserve the unique Magar culture and traditions while fostering unity among Magars across borders. It aims to support Magars living in the UK, as well as their families and communities in Nepal, ensuring the next generation remains connected to their roots while excelling in their chosen fields.

We celebrate traditional Magar festivals such as Maghe Sankranti, a joyous occasion marking the winter solstice and harvest, and Bhume Puja, a sacred ceremony honoring the Earth and seeking blessings for prosperity and well-being.
